Joseph Sameh, Founder / CEO
Joseph Sameh has a history of developing transformational technologies in healthcare communications. He founded MediConnect, a health care call center. In 1985 developing new techniques and methods to improve the quality of communications between patients and their healthcare providers while improving the quality of life for the doctors.
Sameh's innovations in healthcare communications helped secure thousands of doctors and hospitals nationwide.
In 1990 Sameh founded PhoneScreen, a new model that dramatically improved the rate of patient recruitment, enrollment, retention and compliance for clinical drug and device studies. His advancements in the pharmaceutical space have helped new drug compounds obtain FDA approval faster than had traditionally been the case.
After selling MediConnect and PhoneScreen, Sameh continued his dedication to improving the way patients communicate with their doctor.
With the recent Patent Allowance, Sameh's dream of providing healthcare providers with a simple, easy to use, and affordable patient messaging portal through NeedMyDoctor is now a reality.
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has allowed Sameh's patent for this technology. Patent Application Number 10/115,393.

the Office of Technology Management at the University of Illinois at
Chicago with responsibility for evaluating, protecting, performing
patent and business analyses, marketing, licensing and managing the IP
portfolio and licenses for the innovative technologies developed in the
University's College of Engineering.
He has a masters degree from Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Bachelor's Degree with High
Honor in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston,

Michael Hoffman, Director of Software Development
Mr. Hoffman is a senior marketing and business development executive. With full P&L responsibility for several companies, Hoffman has a track record of successful revenue generation, establishing key strategic partnerships. He is an expert in business software and Internet applications and has built and managed multinational software development, sales and marketing teams.
He is leading authority in online video and outreach strategies. and is a nationally sought-after speaker on topics such as online cause marketing, web video, and Web 2.0 for social change.
Amgad Kaldas, Director of Web Development
Amgad has managed, developed, and designed hundreds of successful projects - everything from simple websites to complex database technologies - for over a decade. Amgad, a developer himself, manages a robust group of 25 full-time programmers who write code in many languages (including .NET, ASP, and PHP) and built specialized front and back end applications in Drupal, Wordpress, NING, and Facebook, just to name a few.
Romany Refaat
Romany Refaat, is a software engineer who specializes in the web development sector. Romany recently led his company, See3's team to become an "Authorized Convio Solution Provider" and he is a "SUN Certified Java Programmer" himself. Romany has strong experience and skills in extracting, modularizing, and designing technical and functional system requirements, as well as anticipating client requirements based on their current business needs and situations.

Dr. Barry Aprison
Dr. Barry received his Ph.D. in biology from Brandeis University and was a National Institute of Health postdoctoral fellow in molecular genetics at Indiana University. He joined the staff of the Museum of Science and Industry, in Chicago, in 1988. Until August of 2007 he directed more than 35,000 sq. ft. in Museum projects, including IMAGING: The Tools of Science (1993); AIDS: The War Within (1995); NetWorld (2001), Genetics: Decoding Life (2002) and Science Storms (2010). Both the IMAGING and AIDS exhibits received awards from the American Association of Museum's annual curators' committee exhibit competition program. In 2002, Dr. Aprison was selected for Richard Saul Wurman's "1000" book, listing the thousand most creative people in the United States. In 2007 he joined the faculty of Johns Hopkins University's School of Education as Associate Professor of Education and Director of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The following year, Dr. Aprison came back to Chicago to become Education and Outreach Director at the University of Chicago's Institute for Genomics & Systems Biology. There he leads many formal and informal STEM education projects with faculty, investigators, teachers, and students in the Chicago Center for Systems Biology. Dr. Aprison resides in the Department of Human Genetics. In 2010 he was appointed by the Provost to be Senior Lecturer in the Biological Sciences Collegiate Division of the College of the University of Chicago.
Ira J. Goodman, M.D
Dr. Goodman is an anesthesiologist who practices full time in the field of pain management in the largest private pain practice in metro Chicago. He has a special interest in medical informatics and increasing efficiency for clinical practitioners. In addition to their practice, Dr. Goodman's group is involved in clinical trials. Dr. Goodman's practice is the Official Pain Specialists for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks.
David Penzell
David Penzell possesses over 20 Years experience in the direct marketing and advertising industry including e-commerce. His client experience includes Philip Morris, United Airlines, Walt Disney and many others. Experience includes design and management of pay-for-performance e-networks including conversion programs and web search optimization. Since 2005 Mr. Penzell has been the Director of Operations of The Waldheim Cemetery Company, supervising all of their day to day and long term operations.
Richard Musselman
Richard K. Musselman has spent the past thirty years in the medical profession. He is a founding member of Clinical Research International a large CRO and has managed numerous international phase II-III clinical trials including many mega studies across multiple therapeutic disciplines. Richard's work in the CRO industry spans thirteen years.
Musselman has spoken on pharmaceutical and central laboratory issues ranging from project management to contract/proposal development, proposal validation, contract negotiations and other timely industry issues. He has chaired or presented at over 50 industry meetings, conferences and seminars for the DIA, IIR, CBI, IBC, SRI, IQPC, Management Roundtable, Barnett, Visions, and EPCI.
Richard held the position of Senior Director, R & D Contract Management and Procurement for G.D. Searle (Pharmacia) where he was responsible for a $340,000,000 annual Clinical and Pre-Clinical outsourcing budget. During this period he was able to save the company over $50,000,000.
He is currently President and CEO of AvAMed Consulting Group, Inc., a firm that provides innovative Project Management and Budgeting software and Clinical Development consulting services to the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Central Laboratory, Medical Device, CRO, e-business and Diagnostics industries. He is also a cofounder and managing partner at ClearTrial LLC.
